would a mk1 manifold which is the 1 without a cat
fit my mk2 1.1i which has the cat on the manifold
which equals a easy and cheaky way of decating my car for a few pennys instead of hundreds

    any ideas thanks alot

if your cat is on the manifold and put the older type manifold onto your car. you will most likely have to move the oil filter to the oil style filter also to make it fit. there`s a bit in the guide below that will tell you how to do the oil filter

vtrlogan - What do you mean? Fit it onto a standard cat?? The cat would have to be under the car and not on the original manifold, if so it should fit fine. It should fit as you have a mk1 im guessing. if you need any more questions post in my guide thread and il get right back to you.

And it will be louder and raspier.

vts_pjsaunders...- why say something like that?? obviously it would do something as thats what its ment to do, and as said snewham has 1 on his very nice 1.1

yes you should be able, ignore the oil filter moving as its only one single down pipe so it will fit as its not as wide as a cat is it? lmao

thts if your fitting a standard mk1 mani

oh yes found the downpipe to replace my cat brand new for 15 squids
nice and cheap just hope its a straight swap
and it will be interesting to see what happens
