do quickshifts alter the throw friom side to side or from front to back?

I think the griffiths one only does throw front to back. One like the gmc one which just moves the sticks pivot up the stick will shorten all movement of the gearstick. Theyre pricier but thats the one i'd go for. GE one looks a bit bodge to me.

well iv filtted a different selector arm to my gearbox. its a universal one with two nipples. iv put the linkage to the top nipple and it has dramatically reduced the throw from side to side so if i got one of these it should sort the throw from front to back!
