Help at tinting headlights?

does anyone know how hard is it to take apart the headlight unit and spray the surrounding chrome bits?
I've seen the finished thing on here, but no info on how to do it lol.

easy mate there is a guide but all u gota do is... remove headlights, heat up edges until glue becomes slightly melted and sticky(i used hairdryer but some people opt for the oven), prize the glass away from the other part, remove the chrome bit that u gota spray, sand until not shiny anymore, few coats of primer sanding inbetween, couple of coats of chosen colour, heat up glue again and stick back together, easy but very effective mod

I just can't justify £200ish when they're that easy to do...

Might be a stupid question but wouldn't it actually melt the whole thing because its plastic?

Yeah can be done, just follow the same method as the mk2 lights. Although as the indicators are separate to the main headlight on mk1, you may want to do them aswel.

shatter the glass as your pulling it apart becuase its not melted enough
  15. #15
Is it easy enough to tell when the glass is melted enough?
