It wont damage the standard dampers if you fit the springs, but it will ware them out alot quicker iirc.

just about to buy some 50mm springs for my westie
however, i read the blurb on the site column (ebay)
    Suitable for:
    Citroen Saxo VTR / VTS 05/1996 - 10/2003

    Lowering Height:
    -50mm

...surely they can be put on a westie right?
just says VTR/s as more popular right?
might look like a complete froob here but.
    heh

im looking for someone to do my torsion bar, its easier said than done really, the tricky bit is that they are usually seized and so rusted in its such a bastard to get out. i 'd just rather get someone else to do it and pay them tbh saves alot of hassle - anyone no anyone in west london area drop us a pm lol

yeh, thb i should have to time to tackle it with a mate but, the springs are a different story.
id rarther take it to a garage and kill 2 birds with one stone
    £100 ive heard they charge...minimum

Upgrade your dampers, it will be too hard ride else. the damage is done when you loose control of it on a bad road suface if your going to fast and hit a tree.
  17. #17
cant be that bad say if you go down 40mm on standard dampers can it? many people do it
  18. #18
is the worst that can happen though i've seen it happen.

basicly because the ride is so hard that the car bounces around as the suspention has no give in it. so if your traveling fast on a realy bumpy or uneven road surface the car could be hard to keep on the road and you could loose control.

oh well i got um for a tenner myt aswell use um
    but shurly lowering is good
    lower centre of gravity=good
and they stiffen in racing so if it makes ya crash y do it
  20. #20
mines lowered on standard shocks, and yep definately harsh on the bumps but handles pretty well and it hasn't thrown me into a ditch thus far, but tbh next time i'd get the shocks aswell just for the ride

i've only seen it happen once. if your racing on a track it aint going to be an uneven surface...
