  1. #1
iv started it and i think i was a bit impatiant

iv taken the back panel off that has all the fittings on and am left with the grill itself with no fittings at all to fit it to the bonnet again

is that the only way you can take the back panel off or is there another way that i didnt notice

please can somebody tell me what to do !

can you not fix the back to the front panel mate?

if all fails, you will be able to pick up another grill from citroen for about £20.

i wanted to take the back plate off so that i only had to mesh the front panel (with the chevrons) and then fit it on

so now dont know how people have fitted the front plate on

oh i see what you mean now mate. all is becoming clear.

you're basically saying as you cut out the slats, the fixings also went with them!?!

im not too sure if i havent done it myself and im not sure how many other people have done it but werent you able to just cut the actual slats and not the complete back plate?

thats what i was doing at first but then the slats jsut started gettin bigger an i only had the dremmel kit an would have taken ages so just ripped it off lol

will try an fix it up now then an cut the slats

ok. as already said mate, you can pick up a new one for only £20 if your existing one starts playing silly buggers.

I wasn't sure where to place the mesh when I did mine!! The Haynes Manual isn't really clear exactly which part of the grill to stick it to so I stuck it behind the front part (with the Chevrons), trouble is now I can't get the back bit (with the screw holes etc) to fit back onto it, it's like it's too small now.. Weird!!! Now mine's loose, i'll have to have a go with zip ties until I get a new grill!!
