Raceland Induction Kit Fitment

   Hey,
   
   Used the Search button before anyone mentions but still cant find the answers im looking for. Ive just ordered my Raceland induction kit and fit (the special offer thats on for Nov) but i was wondering..
   
   Has anyone made a guide for the mk1? Ive saw the mk2 one, is it the same?
   What this talk of having to move the power steering resivour etc?
   
   Please help

   yup you will have to move the power steering resivour as the scoop won't quite fit between the coolent filler cap and the power steering resi, easy to do m8 just unbolt it and move it to the right a bit and rebolt it some where else. Also there is a bracket on the mk1 vtr that the original filter bolts onto i found it better to remove this to. It is a bit of fannying about but simple really, oh and you may also need to make up some little brackets to bolt the scoop to the slam panel, as nothing is supplied with he kit.    Thanks alot mate! Ordered today, so once its arrived im going to fit it. Hopefully be next weekend, hope its not too much trouble. lol

   I had one on my old Mk1 mate! i just followed the guide on here for the mk2! same process!

   Doing it tomorrow, but in that guide it says i need a small peice of pipe? anyone know what size or what material is has to be? lol. thanks alot. Anything else i need to buy that isnt supplied with the raceland kit. thanks

   iirc its a small bit of 63mm silicon hose you need

   any idea of width? lol. Im really all that good at this kind of malarky. So theres nothing else other than that hose i need to buy yeah?

    you should'nt need any other pipe m8 all will be in the box, only thing i found was the big hose clips that come with it are pants so i got some good ones from b&q

    Fitted it today. Couldnt find a peice of silicon from anywhere that i could use as the breather pipe. All fitted now though, just had to modify the old one that was on with the tatty K&N

    My mate has a mk1 vtr, and it doesn’t fit on his?? The shell gets in the way when closing the bonnet...?

    the raceland wouldnt fit between the battery and the ignition coil (i think) blacktop btw

    anyone know what the part is cirecled in red in this thread im really stuck with fitting myne!
    
    Also the guide for the kit fitting shows a Mk1 I think as myne is well different!
