Mk2 Stainless Decat Manifold

  1. #1
    HI everyone...

After some advice, i want to put a stainless manifold on my mk2 vtr (51 plate). . . basically the mk1 one stainless 4-2-1 doesnt fit because it hits the oil filter. . I cant find anywhere that sells the mk2 one.

    Can anyone help please. ???

    move the oil filter

Kam Racing do a selection. The Supersprint, Piper and Janspeed w/ sports CAT will fit your car.

As above, you could convert to the MK1 oil filter (which most likely does a better job than the paper MK2 filters) which will allow you to fit something like a Raceland.

or you can actually use a clio filter im not 100% sure which one, but theres one that is same with etc just doesnt quite stick out asmuch if you get me, ill find out when im at work tommorow as i work for gsfcarparts and we supply all that stuff, the filter will work the same and do the job just as well but i think it just doesnt quite last as long

doeing this just means you dont have to fork out for a new manifold if you have already bought one

if you havent already bought one you could go for a better quality manifold form kam like Leeumh said , like the supersprint piper or janspeed, these will be a direct fit

    hope this helps

i will post again tomorow night after work with which renault filter you can use, but this does work as a freind of mine has done this with his mk2

yer i had a look at work today bout the clio filter it has same thread and everythink so will fit perfectly, or the r5 gtt will fit (i think) just going by what williams vts said lol haha, erm but yer if you didnt want to fork out and get a supersprint or piper, get the raceland and then buy the clio filter, i can supply you with part numbers if you would like, just give me a shout when ever dude

    hope this helps

the raceland 4-2-1 manifold should fit straight on to mk2 saxo,
it only needs modifing for a mk1, i only know this as a friend of mine bought one for his mk2 vts and it fitted straight on

    its a VTR
mk2's need the oil filter moving.
mk1's dont need the oil filter moving.
and tbh moving the filter is a pain in the ass just use a smaller filter

can you post part number up for the clio oil filter please matey so im guessing the clio filter is a paper filter same as the saxo? how does this solve the problem tho because the manifold catches on the oil filter housing not the actual filter itself.

I wouldnt think a shorter oil paper cartridge would make any diffrence because you still got the outer cover to contemned with, just change the oil filter to mk1 position and your sorted

You actually replace the whole oil filter assembly, including the metal housing - see here.

get a supersprint mani you dont have to move the oil filter then

what modle clio the old box shape 1 n what engine size oil filter ??????

    try gmc mate

they do a 4-2-1 for the vtr in stainless now irc that doesnt need the oil filter moving
