before you say it, i already know they arent legal. i recently got a kit by ultra for christmas, i havnt fitted them yet as i didnt realise but the kit i have is 8000k, n i was more after 6000k but beggars cant be choosers it wss a gift.. the kit is made by ultra so im sure its going to be better than cheap kits. but is 8000k too bright ? and am i very likely to get pulled for fitting these? another question is are these likely to melt my headlamps? as ive heard they can get very very hot anyone fitted 8000k? any problems?

#2You need autoleveling headlights and self cleaning kits.

As for fitting for show use, they shouldn't melt the headlamps, but they will get very warm. -
#3He already said he knows theyre illegal he doesnt need to be preached too
Theyre actually less bright that 6ks mate but its possible youll get pulled for them as theyre really rather blue compared to 6ks. Most people get away with them though. Make sure you allign them up properly though so you dont blind anyone. And they dont melt std headlamps no, angels yes -
#4had mine fitted with ultra angels, no problems watsoever
no hassle off the old bill either even when ive been pulled -
#5thanks for the advice, i know its been covered alot before and alot of ppl are a bit p****d of at the amount of comments about them, im stil undecided on wether to fit them as i risk invalidating my insurance aswell but its like people have said, fitting a decat pipe is illegal etc. but yes id only fit them if there not going to blind everyone, how can i adjust the beam as best as i can if i do fit them? i might just try them out, anyone have pics of 8000k fitted to a saxo?

#7If they replace the bulbs, the unit should be easily adjusted by a MOT test center
