fitting raceland manifold

  1. #1
    hi,

im about to give my manifold a go at fitting it. now ive looked at some of the guides etc but they are all not clear. Now i know the top sensor is the one to go into the lamba sleeve, and the sensor after the cat goes into the bottom of the manifold? am i correct? also if i remove the oil filter and then fit the mk1 oil filter what happens to where the old oil filter was? also is there any more sensors that might need changing / moving?

also does anyone have a spare lamba sleeve i could have please?

    Thanks

williams vts is selling the sleaves around £7 i think,

when you relocate your oil filter to the MK1 you will need to fill in the hole with a 10 or 13mm tap.

if this is for a vtr also you will need to make the 8 holes bigger but its tougerned steel so its a bit tricky.

Ye drilling is needed. Had no chance of fitting straight away on mine, so out came the drill to make them bigger.

Its the other way round you put the top sensor into the manifold and the bottom sensor (after the cat) into the sleeve

plus have you looked at this? it tells you here what to put in place

top sensor goes in bottom of manifold, bottom sensor needs a sleave or attached to something which catches clean air.

Oil filter(mrk1) needs an adapter which goes into the oil hole so that the filter can screw onto the block.

You need to drill the oil return hole making threads so that you can block it properly

    I did mine at weekend
