you would probably be better advertising the ecu, immobiliser ecu and key set with the 4 digit code that way someone can have the full kit. Unlocking is expensive as I've found out!!!

ive heard you can unlock it before taking it off the car.

any ideas where all these bits are to take off to get the full kit

any wat is needed for the full kit

Yeh you can and it dont cost you owt, aslong as its connected to a running engine

I believe you have the car running then unplug the immobiliser while the car is running.
You will have to do a search tbh to clarify that though

crank her up, let it run
get your head under the passenger footwell and stick your arm up into the far left corner, upward, under the dash. a torch will be needed, and a weird bendy arm with fingers that can bend backwards.
Nearly did my back in doing this shit. once you find the box you can slide it out of its holster pretty easily making it easy to disconnect it.
its awkward to get at, you'll probably not notice it at first if you've a bunch of wiring blocking your view.
central locking box and alarm box(if you have one) are under the dash at the passenger side too but very easy to get at compared to this wee baby.
once done turn engine off, turn back on again to check, key light should be out on the display also.

pricewise i'd check ebay, see what people are selling them at.

btw this box is pretty small, i think the pictures are slightly deceiving, comparable in size to a ciggy box. i'll try and throw some pics up tomorrow of location.

    Save you the hassle mate;

Up behind the fuse box. Can be seen if you shine a torch through the fuse access panel.

    engine doesnt need to run.
just turn ignition on then unplug immobilisor and its unlocked.

I found that it only works with engine running
  12. #12
ive done it plenty times without them running so you must be doing something wrong.

the ecu will be worth more if its unlocked
