1.4 to 1.6 vts

    i have a furio that i had converted to vtr but i want to get a mk1 1.4 and put a vts engine in it ( cheaper insurance lol ) how easy is it and how much to convert ??? cheers guys.

    Isnt the insurance the same if you tell them it has a S engine in it?

    well i want to insure it as a 1.4 but have a 1.6 vts , only for a few months ti'll i turn 20

    why not just wait until your 20 and buy a VTS?

    If you know what your doing it's a piece of piss but if you can do wiring, like I couldn't at the time, you WILL struggle.

    its about 6 months away soif i get it soon i can build on it so it is ready lol

    There's no wiring needed if the right loom is obtained.

    You have to declare the engine or your insurance is void - do so at your own risk but I wouldn't state it on here - insurance companies aren't stupid

    Itll cost more to insure than a vts, conversions always do.

    mine and my brothers are cheaper to insure than a standard Vts - that's ours with mods declared with Adrian Flux

    easy as pie get a loom from the same year drop engine and connect everything up

    That makes no sence, because as far as theyll see it you have a lot more power but a weaker bracking system etc?

    When ever ive seen it in the past be it not a saxo, but its always been more expensive. Most people as this guy has said dont want to declare it thats up to them.
