engine over reving

   got a1.4 westcoast but revs keep increasing between 2000-4000 revs 4 no reason can someone help.

   You mean whilst driving? Maybe your clutch is slipping?

   idle control valve probably , u can remove it , give it a clean that sumtimes fixes it , if not u can pick them up fairly cheap , about £30 ish
