#2theyre just held on with clips i think mate. just give them a good pull... will probably need some new clips after though.
-
#3Its normaly clipped, but some are glued and clipped, if you can see there clearly glued, if you rip it off it could rip some of the paint off too. So weigh up what you would rather do.
-
#4true it is proper glued aswell i was tugging at them and they wasent moving one bit so dunno what to do because they could also snap so i dunno ill have anorther go tomoz and see whats going on like
-
#5Maybe a heat gun to heat the glue so it could come off? Just an idea, dont know if it would work
-
#6yh could do mate i mite try that dident think of that the glue is like a yellow coulour and is very strong it might be fibre glass but dont rely no tbh
-
#7My strips were grey and dull but i masked them off pretty well and didnt get any overspray when painting them black except fot a bit where i ran out of masking tape!
-
#8lol cheers mate i mite just have a good go of it when they are on the car but i wouldent mind taking them off for a just incase thing, because i will be pissed off if i get some spray on the door and i have toi have the hole door re-sprayed lolQuote:My strips were grey and dull but i masked them off pretty well and didnt get any overspray when painting them black except fot a bit where i ran out of masking tape!

#9Mine was absolutley fine. i just masked round the bumpers and everything n made sure there were no gaps then put newspaper around it all. it took awhile but the result was spot on so i rekon you just go for it!! good luck
-
#10you could take the door card off and pinch the back of the hog clips so it slips out easier
-
#11If you cover the side with masking tape and paper i dont think you can go wrong, in saying that worst thing is you snap the bump strips when taking them off but with all the saxo's being broken up you should pick some bump strips up pretty cheapish no? so i wouldnt wory to much tbh
-
#12just mak up round the strips with paper. it should be safe. im gonna do mine in a couple of weeks
-
#13Its a westcoast you have isnt it so the bump strips are not seperat you need to take the whole lower vt door skin off and the rear arch skin...
-
#14yes mate they are all on the lower bit of the door so ill just have a crck of it just masking it off and putting newspaper on it ill let you no what the results are like
-
#15Aye get some pictures up showing how you did mate
