Is there a difference between the westcoast 1.4 and the furio 1.4? could you include some pictures of the differences if there are any.
Westcoast and furio engine differences

#2Don't think there is any difference no! They are both 8v afaik.

#3The oil filter locations are different... The westcoast block has a standard filter out the block. On the mk2 1.4 furio engines there it a filter housing relocating the filter to the right side of the manifold closer to the gearbox. This can be removed and a mk1 filter used by fitting a theaded connection for the filter and by blanking an oil return.Quote:Is there a difference between the westcoast 1.4 and the furio 1.4? could you include some pictures of the differences if there are any.
Other than that, should be ok -
#4Is there a diffence with the inlet manifolds?

#6Westcoast is mk1 and furio mk2 right? So oil filter location, cat location (in the manifold on mk2) and plug mounted coil pack on mk2.
Mk2 has roller rocker valvetrain where as mk1 doesnt (different rocker covers) and and single/3 plug ecu. And i always thaught inlet spacing was different? -
#7wasn´t sure about thatQuote:Westcoast is mk1 and furio mk2 right? So oil filter location, cat location (in the manifold on mk2) and plug mounted coil pack on mk2.

#8So do Mk1 saxos have dizzys and HT leads and which does the MK1 have the single plug ECU? a pic of a MK1 and 2 engines would help me.Quote:Westcoast is mk1 and furio mk2 right? So oil filter location, cat location (in the manifold on mk2) and plug mounted coil pack on mk2.

#10i know its an old thread but can you use the oil relocation on a furio engine to relocate the oil filter from the front of blockQuote:The oil filter locations are different... #11no, mk1s are coil pack ignition too..Quote:

#12i know this is old but the mk2 Furio cat is in the centre pipe as i have one, it's only VTs that have Manifold cats as far as im awareQuote:Westcoast is mk1 and furio mk2 right? So oil filter location, cat location (in the manifold on mk2) and plug mounted coil pack on mk2.
