Hid hi/low with angel eyes

   Hi, i was looking to get some angel eyes for my mk2 saxo and im not sure about the hi/low HID bulbs working in them as i have been told standard beam and hi beam r on two diffrent bulbs, i wouldn't mind if the hi beam came out the projector with the hid's and the standard bulb next to it...but i dont know how it works out.
   
   any help appreciated

   Dont hold me by this as I dont have either, but I've read up on them on here.
   
   Some HID's will melt the plastic in the angel eyes which will make them look kinda crappy.. So I wouldn't really risk trying them in the angels..

   mitch fulla had HIDs in his angel eyes and it cracked the glass iirc
   message him about it to be sure?

   they dont melt angle eyes they actually run at a lower tempreature to standard bulbs 4 of my friends including me have them in agles and never had any problems with melting issues, also mine have seperate bulb for high beam

   I suppose it can really depend on what angel eyes you get as you can get some really rubbish quality ones of fleabay..

   they dont actually crack the "glass" cos they arnt a glass lense they are plastic. there is a way round it tho if you do want to put hids in angels. get a set of standard headlights and take the glass off them and swap it for the plastic on the angels job done

   Its not the heat from HID's that melt angel eyes, its the UV......alot of HID kits are cheap and arent UV protected, and the UV in them cracks/melts the angel eyes.
   so cheap eaby HID kits which arent UV protected are gunna screw over your angel eyes, expensive UV protected HID's should be fine....if they do melt them dont blame me.

   If your talking about converting a wiring loom that took H4 bulbs to take two H1 bulbs, one as hi and one as lo, its piss easy. A H4 is just two bulbs packaged as one. You still have the same wires going to it. You just have to split them off in to two H1 plugs rather than the one used in H4.
   
   As for HID conversion bulbs that fit in place of Halogen bulbs there all illegal to use on the road. http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps
   
   Also you cant just go swapping lights applications. There all coded for there application. You cant go using lo beam lamps as hi beam or fog lights as lo beam or anything stooped like that.
