clutch help

    basically i need a new clutch kit! my car is a 2000 saxo vts! g.s.f parts are listing 2 clutches both 200mm!!??? can any1 on here shed any light on what clutch to get? maybe even provide a part number if possible??

    i just had mines done bought one from ebay transmech one for 50 quid and not had a problem so far when i got it searched the make on google and was good feedback a guy from a motor factor says he sells transmec ones 3 times more than he sells valeo ones ??

    do you have a seller name so i can have a hunt? oh and was it a clutch kit your purchased?

    Do you mean there are 2 different makes of the clutch kit? Or that the same manufactor lists 2 different clutch kits for the same car, but different part numbers. I might be wrong but with yours been a 2000 and that was the change over between mark 1 and mark 2 cars there may be 2 different options for the car. If i remember right the flywheel pressure plate is different. Maybe someone else will know. Or contact Kam-Racing and ask them, thats another option.

    techni clutch are ment to be good- i recieved mine last week just havent had time to fit it, a mate of mine has one in his vtr and had a lil drive with his car and clutch seemed really good - hence why i brought one - was of ebay for £90quid

    is a clutch kit release bearings etc...

    as long as its 200mm id imagine theyre fine. its proberbly 16 and 8v varients. both fit. one could be made to a better standard.

    all the discussion on clutches.

    i wouldnt trust anything other than a valeo in 90% of saxos.

    Mines taken tons of abuse and alot of power to.

    Agree totally. Most standard replacement clutches are a million miles away from the quality of a OE item. A real Valeo item is worth getting, there even a good price so why not lol.
