lowering my saxo

    hi i have a saxo westcoast 1.4 1999 i was just woundering if anyone has any advice on lowering it i want to lower it about 40-60mm i was guessing. as it is on 14" vtr wheels i would like the arch just above the wheel any idea how much this is and also iv heard bad stuff about lowering it on standerd shocks and torsion bar i was woundering is it a bad idea to do this any previous bad experiences? as i have very little money to spend on this im not to bothered about handling more about the looks just woundered if it was safe to do so and also does anyone know who lowers cars in the plymouth area and how much

    I would say that if you are wanting the arch just above the wheel then you will be looking at about 40mm drop. Standard shocks should take this sort of drop, but depends on there condition. As for the torsion bar, as long as it is done in the correct method then you shouldn't have any problems. If you go on the regional meets general chat section on here and post in the relevant area, or even just the general chat section on here you should be able to find someone in your area who will lower your car.
