Has anyone here had any experiance in fitting the raceland 4-2-1 mani to a mk2 VTR? How hard is the oil filter to swap to a mk1? And has anyone got a supersprint system fitted to one aswell? Did u experiance any difficulties in fitting them both together?

#2There's a guide here for the MK1 oil filter conversion. I think the new Raceland 4-1 might actually dodge the MK2 oil filter if you didn't want to convert.
Supersprint system will fit a Raceland manifold with no problems.

#3Oh cheers liam! U fancy fittin them when I get all the bits for a service and some other bits!

#4I'm not comfortable with tapping holes into an engine block, haha. Give williams a bell and I'm sure he'll get them sorted at his unit.

#5Lol fair enough mate! Will do closer to the time when I've got all the other bits!

#6yes the4-1 raceland does fit a mk 2 vtr without having to relocate the oil filterQuote:There's a guide here for the MK1 oil filter conversion. I think the new Raceland 4-1 might actually dodge the MK2 oil filter if you didn't want to convert.

#7But which is better for acceleration? And dosnt the 4-1 hang lower than the 4-2-1! My cars lowered 60/90mm front/back!

#84-1 supposedly moves the power further up the revs whereas 4-2-1 picks up slightly better lower down. I doubt you'd notice a difference between them to be honest.
Not sure what the ground clearance is like with the Raceland 4-1... the Piper does sit quite low though. -
#9mmm cos im not too sure on how much room theres goin to be between the mani and the ground lol, ive gettin a lower strut brace at the end of this month though so that mite protect it abit!

#10the new raceland 4-1 does clear the oil filter. It seems it's an un known fact as well for some reason.
