Morette wiring help

Hi guys bought some morettes wired them up to me car today but got a slite problem. indicaters work fine,side lights and main beam all fine just the middle lights dont work at all any ideas what it could be? whats the middle lights used for?
if anyone got any info how to wire them up or diagrams would be a very big help thanks.

I think they're like that so you can take the middle one out and have a cold air feed for your induction kit.

Mine were wired so the inners came on with the outers for main beam!
All i did was use the standerd wireing

is there a way were i could get the inner lights working. when put lights on full beam one light gets dimmer??

sounds like an earthing problem, is it a mk1 or 2?

As swamply said mine just plugged in...no problems.....has somebody tampered with the cars wiring or the lights??

nothing been tamperd with just used the original conectors

usually they just plug in ok.Has it got the same type bulbs in both sides?
I think im rite in saying that h4 bulbs are either on or off but H7 bulbs have 2 brightness settings (dipped and main from the same bulb)

lights came with a block connector which pluged into one light and to earth cables and two connectors?

if one of the earth cables is corroded or the contact surface isnt clean or tightened securly that could be causing it do dim one light and not work another

that could be the h4 set up bulbs.but instead of taking them out could i get the bulbs working?

replace the bulbs to h7s and they would work.
can you earth the wires anywere on the car?

as long as its not a painted suface, or if it is ull have to sand away the paint to bare metal, and its clean and gets good constant contact. Or you could just bare back the original earth wires from the headlight loom and solder it in

i did scrap the surface but probably didnt scrap it enough.
if its earthed properly will stop causing light getting dim when flick to full beam?
you dont get pulled with the cops fof having them lights out do you?

for a car to be mot legal you need side lights, dipped and main on both sides. If one goes out or effects the opeeration of another light it would fail a test

on mine i have a relay on passengers side which fits onto standard plug then i have connected the 2 brown to bodywork

i have a rely aswell got a big green box on the passenger side wired them up to the connectors wired the two earth cables to bolts on the car.
but theres a yellow cable which looks like it shoves on to a metal rod but carnt seem to find were to put it do you know?

see where the battery is then to the rightis that box and just below it can you see some wires well thats where i attatched my brown wires

Yes they go to your earth points on the car...........

not both in the same place there are wires either side so 1 brown wire to each side if you know what i mean

that 1st pic looks like it should connect into the side lights
3ed pic i would connect the brown to the wires underneath where you connected it where with all the other wires

the first picture does connect into the side light ( the middle light) so the middle lights are the side lights mine dont work at all.
dont no were you wire up the yellow wire in the last pic

thats right on the end of that should be 3 prongs that fit into the plug from your lights

yea iv plugged it into the green box just got one dangling wire the yellow one
