Don't know what the 1.5 TB is like / where it is or diameters etc

    K&N do kits: Clicky

The above kit would sound deap/loud on petrol models so i presume it's the same on yours

i had a k&n filter on my 306 d turbo and it just made my turbo whistle louder and sounded quite good to be honest lol, im sure it made it a little bit slower at acceleration but if yours is just a diesel with no turbo then im not to sure mate

I had an induction kit on my zx diesel it went ok not much of a roar when I floored it but not bad.You ever thought about having you car re-mapped or chipped?theres a few good gains to be had down that route or even fitting a turbo from a diesel car to it?

I fitted one on my 106 diesel, and tbh, it made no difference apart from making it sound like a tractor.

Have just edited my first post, made it sound like a tractor tbh. Definately doesn't do the same as on a petrol.

my mate had a fabia vrs and they are diesel he had a de-catted, de-silenced exhaust on that with just a cheap pipercross cone filter and that made it sound evil lol i liked it, with the exhaust it did sound different to a petrol but not in a bad way if that makes sense, and yea there s a big difference between a fabia vrs and a 1.5 saxo lol but should sound better than it will atm

no! It's there for a reason. Diesel's tend to run lean anyway (IE, air fuel mix is heavy on air and light on fuel) - this is fine, cos it's how they're meant to be, but improving the airflow won't make a bit of difference to the performance, it'll just make it run leaner. so if you do see any change, then it'll be for the worse.

TD would be slightly different, as they'll be set up to squirt more fuel on full chat, but even then, only up to a point, and to get more power beyond, you'd need to adjust the fuelling too.

All the big-bore exhausted diesels I've seen have sounded hilarious, and not in a good way.

Diesel's are great, and can be powerful in a very different way to a petrol (which some of us love!), but they'll never really sound good. If you really want big exhausts and sporty intake noise, sell it and buy a petrol. Diesel's fetch fairly strong money anyway, so you'd do OK out of it.

    Hope that helps!
