p.s love your car -
#4You need a Be4 gearbox that's come from a car with a TU engine. Normally like the 1.6 8v Picasso's but there are a lot more cars tbh.Quote:reading your thread m8 and just wanted to know what cars they come from and what gains you get and top

Not sure about gains tbh, a lot of people have broken MA boxes on high powered cars (some still live on though) - ATSpeed are running a Be4 box on one of their high powered turbo cars with no problems (from what I read)
Not 100% on this as I haven't pulled the Be4r box myself to confirm, but the gears are more 'manly' within the Be4r boxes than the MA - but I think the Input shaft is pretty much the same as an MA box with regards to strength.
You could run a hydraulic clutch relatively easily with a Be4 box which should make it a lot more comfortable using a heavy clutch compared to an MA box.
This plus the ease to change the diff over with the Be4 box.
Was reading a couple of days ago about someone who was putting 400-500bhp through one and he ripped the teeth off 5th gear - so there's obviously still a weakness in them, but that is huge power really so understandable - he's going over to a different type box now so will be interesting to see how he gets on! -
#5ok thx dude

#6we run them on all the big power 106/saxo we do. and also rally cars etc.
hell of a lot stronger than the MA... gears, diffs etc much bigger, 4th and 5th are comparable tooth size, but the casings are much much stiffer.
no case flex = no stripped gears.
the box bolts direct to the TU block. you need custom engine mounts. a lot of other parts you can buy from peugeot, some go straight on, some you have to modify to make work. so you can make a kit yourself with enough time and research, theres plenty of peopel doing the conversion now - just be careful what information you find as a lot of it is unfortunately wrong and you can end up wasting money on the wrong parts.
or buy one with all the work pre done for you..
we produce an off the shelf kit with all the parts needed, ready to bolt on. complete with custom laser cut mounts, rose jointed torque links etc. custom made heavy duty clutch cable. with options for additonal add on parts, such as satchshift gear change kit.
we also sell true competition spec custom driveshafts which still work with stock 106 / saxo legs.
or of course you can make your own if your on a budget
