snap/flip key

i brought a blank key for saxo/xara, has correct key blank and buttons to lock and unlock are in correct place to match standard fob. but insides to the flip key are open so plan was to cut out original key fob and sand down to fit into new key thus having flip key that lock n unlocks, as both are same thickness and so on.
trouble comes when i actually need to do this cos i;m shit at small fiddly stuff. anyone care to hazard a guess or volenteer to help (hopefully the latter) have all parts waiting.

Christ, seems like a lot of hard work to me. Wouldn't it be easier to buy a universal flip key?

well a universal one would be more ball ache as u would prob have to cut it up as per guide.
with this one i;m pretty sure once u cut out the battery part of the original blipper it;ll all work fine
