#4are the emmisions normaly bad then?

#5Emmisions aren't normally bad, it's bad if you have messed around the exhaust and not done a proper job.
Before your M.O.T. i'd defo check:
Brakes
Suspension
The Rear Axle (Mine failed due to this) Check there is no play in it and that it has not cambered at all.
Check all your lights are working.
Check the condition of your tyres.

#6ok mate cheers. how can i tell with the rear axle tho? where will the play be?

#7Jack up both sides at the rear, one at a time and look for play in the wheel.Quote:ok mate cheers. how can i tell with the rear axle tho? where will the play be?
You can tell if the axle has gone if the wheel doesn't feel 100% on (you can move it any other way then the normal rotation) -
#8ok cheers mate i will have a look but my car has full service history and has one just before its mot so they should pick something up if there is something wrong right?
