Oh dear another one of these threads, have a little search theres a thread that will tell you everything you need to know.

if your asking these questions, you wont be able to do the project yourself (and will always be disappointed you did it on a VTR and not a VTS)

so you dont need to know this information because youll need to save a lot of money and take it somewhere to have it done...

lol. why do you think that?
  5. #5
because if you knew what you needed and how to do it, you wouldnt be asking....
  6. #6
correct, if you where of the mechanical capability to do it, you would not be asking if you need a new manifold etc,

the information has been covered here so so many times also, so it doesnt look like youve done much research.

apologies if my assumptions are incorrect, and i also wish you the best of luck

If you take a look in the engines forum, there are quite a few linked threads with info and pics of the bits you need. Once you've had a look, maybe we can help you with some specific queries?

I'm just in the process of upgrading my turbo, so am re-learning the current turbo-techniques. Might have a fair amount of spare parts left over too

well im actually a mechanic but thought i would ask some saxo geeks rather than me researching as you all probably no far to much about little cars.

cheers. i might just have too.
just a quick 1, has anyone used an electric oil pump rather that pissing about with feeds and returns?
thinking if i have a electric pump connected to just turbo and cooler?
  16. #16
never heard of that one i know its alot of hassel with oil feeds and oil coolers saying that feed is only a T pice in the oil preshure switch feed and return is a pipe welded in the sump at the highist part but with coolers youl probley have to get a oil filter relocation kit to move the oil filter cos i couldent get my turbo in with the filter on check out my photos on my profile theres a few on there it took me 3 days to put it together and on the road but still ironing out the running problems still plus it only cost up to now £750 bargin

just a couple of photos i took the outher day just for referance
  18. #18
looks sweet. ive got a vtr not a vts so will i be ok?? also how are you fueling it? inj, reg etc.
  19. #19
vtr is the easyist one ive been told doing my mates at mo theres a plate u can make/buy for the manifold to convert to a flange for turbo so dont nessary need a new mani im fueling mine via a sig-con from the mighty GMC MOTORSPORT guru of all things turbo and a ERL mf2 5th injector but if you got the cash get a standalone PREDITOR is a good one to get everyone on here says to stay clear of the mf2/sigcon but it was cheep so i done it that way but you will be alright just get every thing together b4 striping the car cos there will only be one thing you need and havent got and the car will be off the road make a list of everything you need bolts gaskets washers pipes ect, ect, ect, ect then when you got it all time to play you will be impressed at what you done and when it fires up for the first time and u hear that dump valve youl get this great fealing its hard to discribe but its great

great. thanks. the only flange i can find is a t3-t25 converter?? is this what i need??
i am thinking t25 which im getting off a freind as he has a 200sx. i am also hoping to use his downpipe and elbow to make a custom down pipe.
do you run with standard actuator or different 1??
    sorry for all the questions.
    appreciate all your help.
  21. #21
no worries bud running a std actiuator set at 0.6 bar (8 psi) the flange is made up of the original fpipe flange depending on the year of yours then getting a flange on ebay (4 bolt) to get weld on to a bit of short pipe and then onto the flange of the fpipe makeing sure that the turbo is level after fitting has your car got a maniverter or a cat under the car?
  22. #22
did have cat under car. but de-cat'd. easy enough to make an adaptor.
  23. #23
thats good then easy to make adapter im just looking through files on old laptop cos did have a pitcher of the flanges but batt flat will have to find it tomorrow after work and ile send it to u via pm or on this tread got to work tomorrow so im of in a bit will be here for 10 -15 min any outher quick questions post if not ile be online around 8ish tomoz ile try to get pic of that adapter on ere tomorrow cheers bud
