   hi ive just went out side to start one of the saxo i have no power sterring no heaters and battery lite on ...do i have to briege the igination .sorry about my spelling as it aint that great cheers ...ive even charge battery but when engine running these nout there still battery lite on no heaters no pas ....can any one hel[p cheers

   then again, it could be a problem elsewhere,
   i had this, and it turned out to be the main cable from altinator to starter motor,
   its worth checking all areas first.

   cool guys for the reply ...ive done the wires under the steering wheel still no luck ..ive got a mk1 alternator but .its diffrent plug to the one ive got plus. these 3 wires that are green on the mk1 . .where mine has one grey one pink on plug and earth can i mod to fit mine ??? but these more wires on the mk1 alternator ...:::))))))

   Start engine > Unplug battery, if the engine cuts out, then its the alternator, whether it be cables or the thing itself that's faulty

   yes mate i did that and the heaters and power steering stared to work when i unplug it. .with the battery on charge from the house .then i disconected from battery then the engine started to stall but when i plug it back in it would cut fans off and power stering lol.ive got a new one for tommorrow .£85 pound brand new must be fook the other one .but ill let you asap when done and sorry evaryone about my spelling i had to many when i did this thread lol i notice i put BATTY LOL INSTEAD OF BATTERY LOL PMSL
