SNAPPED SPAX spring - recommend a replacement?

Had the car in the garage on friday and when I went to collect it they told me the nearside spring has snapped, its a full SPAX PSX kit thats on the car and was only fitted in 2007 - been in touch with POTN but looks like Im gonna have to fight them for a resolution.

Has anyone else experienced this with SPAX, springs should last way longer than 3 years!!!!

I have heard all sorts of problems with the spax springs breaking. Too bad mate, hope you get them replaced

Not personally but i always see snapped lowering springs at work, in last 2 weeks ive had a renault clio with spax springs and front one was broke, also a renault megane (not sure which make) and a peugot 307 with a snapped rear spax spring.

    why bollocks?

And you sure POTN will sort it? its 2 years youve had them? is there a stated warrenty?

whats the manufactures warranty? might be work checking with spax themselves

9 times out of ten spax will replace even outside of the 3 year period

Give them a bell, iirc they take your old spring and you get brand spanking new ones.

Tbh Spax suffer rediculous spring chatter <40mm. The springs coils clashing together over 30,000 will surely wear them down.

    Hope you get it sorted!

2 year warranties are at the manufacturers discretion but under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002 a "non-conformity case" can be brought up to six years after the point of sale and one aspect that is covered under this is durability.

Gonna contact SPAX next although my "contract of sale" is with POTN - will try both avenues....

Ok need some replacement 40mm springs, dont want to spend mega bucks but something better than the SPAX $hit that has snapped, since POTN are been tossers about replacing them Im having to take matter into my own hands to get the car back on the road.

What I need is recommendations of some good springs to go with shortened dampers that are already on the car Im looking at the Eibach sportlines from kamracing at the min
