Wilwood Dust Seals

   Can dust seals be retrofitted to a set of Wilwood Dynalite's?
   
   They are the older cast type which don't normally have any?
   
   I've got refurb them anyway so would it be possible to add the dust seals or what if anything needs doing to get them fitted? (don't fancy regular refurbs )

   I wouldn't have thought so tbh, but rallydesign might be the people to speak to?

   no because they dont come with dust seals in the first place.
   
   they are a competition caliper which are meant to be cleaned after each race.
   
   Just clean them every few 1000 miles with brake cleaner.

   Ive got a set of the older Wilwood Dynalites, they dont have any dust seals on them but it doesn't seem to be an issue. I just clean them like Steve said every few thousand miles

   yeah, take the pads out, and spray it all over the pistons, for the sake of the carrier bolts just un bolt it off the hub so you can get right in, wynns brake cleaner is really good and seems to disolve the stuff, i have even used carb cleaner in the past and causes a weird reaction and also disolves it.

   I have Wilwood Midilite's.......Do these have dust seals?

   Steve is the brake cleaner ok with the piston seals?
   
   Doesn't eat them away or degrade them does it?
   
   Don't fancy having to strip the calipers down every few months for new seals etc.

   yeah, those are the later ones with dust seals.
   On mine however they seemed to come out of their housing and move up and down with the piston and burnt easily.
   
   So always best to keep an eye on them, they are cheap enough to replace.

   I just used wynns brake cleaner from halfrauds, never had any issues

    They cant be to hard to mantain other wise they woudnt of fitted them to the puma without dust seals.
    
    Just think of the extra stopping power youll have now for the litte extra maitance.
