sounds daft as there plastic but chuck them in the over for 10 mins at about 200c. will melt the glue. that or a heat gun.

take your head lights out (obv) and what i did was stick a hair dryer on it. go around the edge for a good 10-15mins and the glue will melt a bit. they stick a knife or screwdriver in the side and prize it apart, might need to heat it up again.

longer way of doing it but if you mess it up in the oven you need a new light.

then do the same when putting it back together

cheers for all of the help got one done and took a while to get the glue off but looking good, didnt really want to risk loosing a light in the oven.

Tbh I would always primer first.

And when sealing them back, melt the original glue and use that as the main adhesive. When this is dry you can run a bead of clear silicone around the whole join on the outside and smear it in with your finger. This will make sure they are completely airtight

It depends how you want the finish. I just went for matt black as I think it would look strange if they were shiny. But it's up to you at the end of the day
