  1. #1
    Hey guys! This is my first post.
    I've just bought a saxo as my first car... pictures up soon...
    I'm looking to do an engine swap to a 106GTI engine, i've done a search of the forum but not much comes up (maybe im searching the wrong thing)

    Could you tell me what would be involved and stuff please. At the mo i've got the 1.1 engine.
    Cheers

    Basic bits are;
    Engine
    Unlocked ECU
    Wiring Loom
    VTS throttle cable
    VTS exhaust manifold

    Then you can fit the twin fan set up etc if you want
    You can fit an S gearbox, or just put your 1.1 box back on. Maybe use an S1 rallye box.

    More info in those threads though mate so have a read through

    Is that showroom full of Bodykitted cars?

    GTi conversion you need:
    Engine, Loom, Ecu (same plug as car if you want to save yourself a load of hassle, Top Radiator Hose, Exhaust and Inlet Manifold, Vts throttle cable,
    Possibly a vts upper engine mount.

    I like the smooth boot btw
