Speedo, can i change from clock to rev count?

i have the mk1 1.1i with the clock instead of the rev counter, but i have a mk1 speedo lying around with the rev count so thought id swap it over, but obviously something has to go in the back for the revs to work! does anyone know what i would have to do to get the revs to work, is there a plug already behind?

i havent taken it apart yet, thought i'd ask before i do to save some time and effort, cheers!

I bought an aftermarket rev counter for my old car, and had it on the dash. There's a guide on here somewhere on how to fit one.

It's not that hard to do, just be patient. I used to have this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rev-Counter-52...item2a0aeabe5c
You can connect it up the the headlights so the back lights up.

Just to add - you will need some sort of housing to fit it on top of the dash, that company sells one that will fit it.

probably just do the whole dials swap mate, trying to keep my car really simple inside without any lil bits popping out! cheers tho mate
