16v fuel lines

im putting a two prong gti engine running single plug loom into my vtr, im just wondering what i do about a return line to the tank as vtr's dont have a return line?

do i have to drop the tank and run a line all the way to the tank with a new gti fuel pump or is there another way?

    cheers matt.

Dropping the tank is an easier option, depends if you want it looking "O.E" or not because the fuel lines are in 3 sections. Just follow your "out of pump" line under the carpet etc and its quite self explanitory.

Dont need a GTi pump if its a VTR, just remove the VTR return line and FPR thats on top of the tank, and run the return line from the VTS rail down to the "in pump". The inlet and the outlet of the pump are self explanitory as one is larger than the other and they have arrows on them.

i just blocked the return on my vts engine but it popped off the other day held strong for over a year though but i lost over £20 of fuel

so im fitting the jp4 fuel rail as it doesnt have a return on it, easier than wiring up a return on the j4 rail

Thats a great idea mate! Saves alot of messing about. Then you can keep the VTR return and FPR which is on the tank.

exactly lol if you cant fit them to black top vtr 16v conversions as the fpr is on the rail but if you have a silvertop vtr 16v conversion then the fpr is in the tank so its all good to go, apparently it needs a bit of modding to fit properly but sophia_bush has done it and he said its very straight forward, its him that im buying the rail off
