A few days ago the engine management light came on my mk2 saxo and since then the car runs fine until it gets to 3000 rpm and then it just shudders loads and wont rev any higher, is it probably just a dodgy sensor?

Here you go mate, practically same as you http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=348727
no codes appear but its 99% of the time a crank sensor, few of my mates have had it

#7Crank sensor, and the make sure you reset the ECU to take it out of limp mode.

#15well i changed the crank sensor but it didn't fix the problem so i took it for a diagnostics today at a garage and he said that the throttle valves are knackered, anyone else had this problem?
-
#16Great. Thought that it might be too good to be true. Throttle valves? The actual valves in your head are knackered?
-
#17no not the valves in the head, he pointed at the throttle body bit and said its knackered but he called them throttle valves
