since the cold weather my car has cut out a few times just after i start it up and go to drive off, it dies
the heaters wont blow hot air, and today it has overheated 4 times in normal driving, and is sitting over halfway on the temp guage
ideas?

#2hi sam i dont think that saxo's like the cold weather as a lot of people seem to be having idling or overheating problems hope you get it sorted mate

- change your thermostat, change your coolant/antifreeze whatever you wanna call it, and bleed the system. Problem sorted

read that and all your problems will be solved haha i had exactly same problem and just fixed it, read that thread and ill almost garantee its that -
#6Only question is where did the air in your system come from? Once bled they should not need bleeding agin in normal service unless coolant is changed. My gut is telling me that your HG is leaking your coolant is slowly being burnt off. I hope not though and it is just a freak saxo thing!

#7Sounds like your thermostats not opening,you can take it off and see if it works in cup of boiling hot water......
