power steering, heated rear window, blowers, fault

   right il try explain this best i can been working on getting a mk2 vtr back on the road thats been locked up for 3 years im having bother with the power steering rear heated window and blowers which going from the book are all on the same fuse iv change it put a bigger one in to no joy. was speeking to someone who said its a common fault and you have to take the ignition out and solder something together. would like to know if anyone has had the same problem and if this is true any help would be gratefully recieved as im dying to get her on the road again.

   also had this problem. easy enough job to do if u have patience. hardest bit was fiting the wirse back through the barrel when changing over the ignition switch

   ok ive done what the guide says still not working does this mean new ignition locks etc?

   turned out to be a dodgy connection on the alternator incase anyone else has the same problem
