32mm Spacers on vtr

  1. #1
Im thinking ov buying 32mm spacers for my vtr.. Not hubcentric ones, therr on ebay, the bolts go in the original holes and then the spacer sits over it,securely i must say, then the bolts you put in first are threaded on the top so your actual alloy bolts bolt into them for a firm hold.. Do you think this would be ok,i have 16inc alloys and always have good rubber and its low in the back,my vtr..

32mm is pretty big, plus cheap ebay ones, i wouldn't like to risk them...

Yes i supoze.. What about 25? I have 2o mm spacers but alloy still catches in axle
  4. #4
Your alloys catch on your axle?
  5. #5
    Yep
    ..
  6. #6
this isnt good if your alloys catch on your axles lol
  7. #7
u mean it catches the arches?
  8. #8
Im not quite sure how, do you have pictures to help? How low are you down? If you push them out too much they will just catch on your arch..

The tyre catches in the axle.. Back passenger side rim, catches in it to the left ov the hub..

    Are the wheels et40+?
  26. #26
are you sure its a vtr?
dont all VTR's have disk brakes on the rear...
  27. #27
    Thats not a vt beam
  28. #28
No its only a 1.4vtr.. I dont know if the wheels are et40+.. How do i know
  29. #29
arent irish vtr's and s' all different though, like they have vts spec 1.4's etc, irish vtr with drums might be the norm?

get wheels that fit mate. people seem to always get problems with 17's catching if your lowered. massive spacers put strain on the beam aswell ive heard.
Are you using a spacer ontop of a spacer? cant be good can it? id rather new wheels than a massive spacer with reallly long bolts

Yeh its an irish vtr mate.. I only have 16inc rims.. If i got 25mm spacers that wouldnt be as bad.. 32mm would be a dangerous one.. The man i bought the vtr off got a new rear axle and i was thinkin could it be sittin in wrong as i have a 23mm spacer on the other wheel and there isnt a bother on it.. Its driven me up the wall and i hate the look ov a spare..
