drive shaft type

Just wondering what drive shaft type I should have on my VTR.

It's a 1999 single plug, early phase 2. I'm getting vibration when braking and the pedals kicking back. Got my timing belt done by KrisB today and he said it's likely the driveshaft is wrong.

So should it be tapered or the other type?

Sounds more like warped discs to me, i've had vibration during accelleration due to buggered shafts...

A 99 model should have older type shafts but hmmm...

Taper shafts tend to have longer hub nuts, you could have a look & see.

    Longer nuts.

Well, I'll just take it to the garage. It's really quite violent vibrating when braking at speed...that normal with a warped disc?

It's got short hub nuts and a short thread.

It's definately not warped discs, there's play in the wheel which arose after a new shaft was fitted.

Okey doke, at the risk of sounding completely clueless...I still don't know what type of drive shaft should be on there though, bit reluctant to contact the garage who did it until I know what's what.

So if anyones got a straight up answer, i.e.: tapered or whatever the other one is, I'd be greatful.
