Important! : 1 more to add to the car wont start threads

    first off i would like to say i have search throught to car wont start theads and cant seem to fid a solution

    the problem seems to be that the fuel pump is not priming

    i have checked all fuses
    changed the fuel pump relay, ecu, pump
    also checked the earths

    after tring to find a solution for the last 1 hours i have found that the fuel pump relay (the one under the ecu) is not getting a signal to change the state of the relays. I then went on to check all the switches are working on the ignation and they are. but doesnot seem to be getting a supply but i cant find where it is supplyer from


    also noticed that the dash cluster back lights dont work now either

    has any one found a wiring diagram that the wire numbers match up with ?

    right just come back in and found under the steering colum there are 3 plug that go to the ignition switch 1 is for the starter and i thing 1 is for the fuel pump and injectors. that is the one that does not have the supply to it. i dont have auto data in the house.

    does some one have the circuit diagram from the auto data ?

    surely theres a wiring diagram for the system in the haynes manual? if there is all i can suggest considering everything you have done so far is look to see if there are any connectors in the loom anywhere, and check those. or check power to the ecu, fuel pump etc with a multimeter or check the continuety in the wiring from the ignition barrel or wherever the terminal 15 wire to the fuel pump comes from, to the pump itself.

    the diagram in the manual says it should be 15 but belled it out with a meter and it goes to pin 12 on the relay. the digrams in the manual dont seem to match up with the pin number on the car. Will have a good goat it tomorow befor work

    sfter working on it or abit today i have found that the ecu is not getting power. from the diagrams in the haynes manuel i cant find out where the ecu it supplyed from
