   does anyone know how to adjust a clutch on a 97 saxo 1.1

   What do you mean adjust the clutch? do you mean clutch cable? If so, look ontop of the gearbox, there will be a cable with 1-2 bolts on, undo the bolts until your happy with the position of the clutch pedal

   i put the clutch pedal all the way down to the floor put it in first and i move my toe's and the car bites, its too keen to start, so i need the bite point moving abit more up

   Clutch Cable is under the battery tray and its 2 bolts at the end... loosen the first one and then start loosening the 2nd and keep testing your clutch till your happy with the height of the biting point
   
   Loosening the bolts just slackens the cable and the adjusts height of the clutch pedal in the car

   I had the same problem, clutch was right down and it was already at biting point, however iirc I tightened up my cable
