Debadging boot

Are the badges on the boot (Furio) just glued on? If so are they easy to remove?
    Thanks

they have some sticky backed foam holding them on and some plastic pins

wash the back of your car with warm soapy water and it should warm up the foam enough for you to push the pins (from the inside of boot) and lift the badge off

otherwise, use a hairdryer to warm it up

If you cant get it off, try a credit card to lift up the badges - never use a screwdriver! - u dont wanna knacker your paint

Cheers just filler, primer and respray the holes. Sounds easy enough

There is another way if you aren't into spraying I heard corsa owners do, is to put tape across the holes on the inside, then a bit of filler and some carefully applied, wet sanded and polished touch up paint over the holes.

Although to me that seems a bit bodgy and doub't i'd try it personally.

Doing this the filler will crack over time and look shite!

if your going to do it, get it done properly.. weld the holes up on the inside of the boot and lightly filler over the holes.. lasts longer

fillering and respraying isnt a great deal of hassle anyway, i did it to my 1.1, but when i took them off they left a nice inprint of 'citroen' on the paint, dunno how but it wouldnt wash off lol

I managed getting the imprint off just through lots of washing, but i saw another thread on this the other day and someone said to use tar remover to remove it
I guess then its just lots of polishing etc so it comes up exactly the same

    HERE is the thread

its both - sticky foam and 2 holes for Saxo badge and 3 for Citroen

Use an old credit card to prise the badges off. To get rid of the glue residue use white spirit and cloth to get it all off give it a quick wipe with a wet cloth and then t cut

How big are the holes roughly? And does it look that bad if i was to leave them open? lol
  14. #14
if you leave them open, you run the risk of water coming inside (the holes go straight through to the boot)
they are a couple of millimeters wide but i would definitely fill the holes

Okay mate, hopefully ill get round to it

I had mine welded up and sprayed over on my old Saxo

Looks smart, dont know anyone with a welder though :s

you can either get it welded and done professionally, or like rudpud did here

He superglued a 2p behind the hole and filled them. Then primed, dprayed and lacquered then lots of polishing etc to get it to the same colour
