Little red adjustable valve was installed in the brake servo pipe when I purchased my saxo.
Never paid any attention to it but have fiddled with it...

If you know how they work please please inform me as I have a pretty bad problem with my engine (fault P0300) and can't find the problem but have a feeling the problem could be caused by this little valve....

    Any help welcomed!

Which pipe is this installed on to exactly...?

The fault code is an engine code... so like air leaks, misfires, injector faults etc.

EDIT: just did a search... Multiple misfire fault.

    Could be coilpack?

as adsayer has said already, code means random/multiple misfire.

just pulled these off internet of what it could be...
    •Faulty spark plugs or wires
    •Faulty coil (pack)
    •Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
    •Faulty fuel injector(s)
    •Burned exhaust valve
    •Faulty catalytic converter(s)
    •Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
    •Faulty camshaft position sensor

The link that he posted up has something to do with the brakes it splices into the vacuum hose for the servo for assisted braking.

As he said take the valve out and get a joiner.

The missfire you have is because the valve is letting too much air into the intake causing your air/fuel ratio to be lean and giving you the miss fire.

So eitha replace the full hose or get a joiner to replace the valve with 2 cable ties around the hose to stop it coming loose.

My engine light is on yes, but not flashing. And Yeah it is a random multiple misfire, plugs, coils changed but still problem persists. Is there a chance it could be something to do with the servo valve?
