Cat for Mk2

   Right I've been thinking; if the Mk2 VTR's car is in the mani and you get an aftermarket mani and full exhaust system, could you cut the Centre section and slap a cat in the gap, so the cat is now under the car just after the mani meets the centre section?

   just get the mani for the mk2 and put the mk1 system on after that mate then you got exactly what you want.

   That's what I was thinking but I was wondering is the underbody/exhaust route the same on a mk2 and a mk1

   yeah same mate gets done loads to get the car through the mot. Just quicker to get a cat bypass pipe with the mk1 cat back and the mk2 aftermarket manifold.
