furio engine conversion help needed

   hey guys i was driving home last night when my engine blew
   so this morning i thought sod it im going to use this as a opotunity to do a engine change so took my engine out today but im not sure which engine to put in i know a vtr engine will be the easy option so how hard is it to put a vts engine in and what parts will i need apart from engine, gearbox and driveshafts, ECU ,engine loom

   Ideally an engine from the same year as yours so a 3 plug engine and loom should be fine. For some odd reason there is always something on the 16v conversions that will have to be modified to work, mine was a pain although it was a 3 plug furio with a 3 plug 16v engine.

   might just go for the vtr lump then as its easy and cheap will my 1.4 gbox fit with vtr engine and will the loom just plug straight in

   in theory any 3 plug engine and loom should plug in and fit, which in your case i think you would be ok if you was to 16v yours as iv heard is only 02 furios that are wired different on the multi plug. Any saxo gearbox will fit any saxo.... yours wont have the intermediate bearing on the drivers side but you should get the bracket on the engine you get so you will have to put vtr driveshafts on. I have mk2 vtr driveshafts on my 02 furio 16v due to the intermediate bearing as all the 1.6,s have them.

   also do you have to put a fuel return line in for 16v conversion

   I got a x reg 1 plug furio mate, shame as I'm sellin the full conversion I got sat about but it's single plug! Gutted

    16v conversion
    Engine
    Gearbox
    Unlocked ECU
    Wiring Loom
    VTS Lower rear engine mount
    VTS transmission engine mount
    NON-VTS/VTR Drivers side mount
    VTS throttle cable
    VTS exhaust manifold
    
    Ideally you would also need:
    
    VTS Radiator
    Top Radiator hose (lower VTR hose you can cut to length)
    VTS fan setup

    would you split the loom from the engine if it got the big interior plug

    so just to confirm i need a 3 plug vts engine to go in my x reg furio or can a single plug be modified
