Forged Pistons On Standard Rods?

   Right, I'm after some Forged Pistons as mine are shot.
   
   New standards are £481 Plus VAT. I can get some Forged with rings for £500.
   
   But with Rods they're £900.
   
   My question is will Forged VTR pistons fit standard rods?

   they "should" fit standard rods no prob if theyre going in the engine that they were designed for
   
   but always best to check with manufacturer

   I am using wossner high compression pistons with standard rods.

   Good, it's just the guy on eBay who's selling them said they don't fit. And I'll need to buy Steel rods also.

   i think theyre cheapest because hes had them ages, trying to get rid of ol stock by the looks of it

   Lol, that don't matter does it... Long as they're real Pistons lol.

   doesnt matter at all, means you can maybe try to score a little discount..... tell him your interestd but only want to pay X amount, and that your willing to trade outside of ebay so he saves his fees to them, long as he takes paypal so you dont both get screwed

    many people have run high comps for example on standard rods.
    
    As said will depend on the piston design i expect still.
    
    Else some of the RR lot seem to want to use J4 rods

    all stock pistons new for most cars are about £500 and upwards, my mates just rebuild a ford v6 lump for a customer.... and the standard pistons for that were nearly £800

    Pointless when Forged are only slightly more....

    Standard rods won't like to be revved too high, but will handle good power.
