Saxo failed MOT today, nothing too major, but the one I am posting about is lack of brake lights.
O/S light was full of water and had blown the bulb, put on my spare light unit with good bulbs, still nothing. Other bulb is fine too....so FUSE.
Haynes manual, fuse F7 below dash passenger side, also does reversing lights. Check reversing lights, aha, don't work.
Remove fuse F7 and its fine.
Find this thread.....is F7 the brake light fuse or not?
If it is, then any other suggestions, since bulbs are all good and fuse F7 is good. Find it unlikely (though not impossible) that both brake switch and reversing light switch have died at same time.
Other fails were high lambda, most likely caused by crack in exhaust (caused by the shitty roads here)
Front strut insert loose (only been on less than a year, am sure I tightened it up, could roads cause that too?)
And a ripped rubber boot, again those damn roads.....seriously, there are some roads here I cannot go on for fear of getting stuck, and my Saxo isnt that low!!
