You're openly admitting saying that you're willing to obtain insurance fraudulently on a public forum?

And why ask if you say that you're not gonna do it?

chassis will be same, engine number will not.

Worse things have happened. People commit insurance fraud every day by fronting - Papa Bear insures a car in his name, with Baby Bear as an additional driver. It's actually Baby Bear's car, and Papa Bear never drives it.

The additional driver is still insured to drive the car though, this is a bit different, changing the whole engine.

Which scenario do you think is more likely that an insurance company won't pay out to?

You're right, I was just saying its far too common to bother worrying about. We can explain the dangers of not telling the insurance company until the cows come home, but odds are this lad still won't bother to tell them...

    In response to the OP...

Some important points. If you do decide to upgrade the engine, you can't just stop there, the car will be a death trap. You will need to upgrade to VTR brakes at least (which will mean converting to rear discs and pads).

Also, I hope you realise how much work is involved when doing an engine swap. If you're not going to do the work yourself, and you pay a professional to do it, I hope you know the costs involved... on top of buying the new engine in the first place (and wiring loom?).

Don't forget, after you've spent all that time, effort and money, you're still going to be left with a flatarch saxo. If you can find anyone who will insure you, it will cost you a small fortune, and if you decide not to tell the insurance company, you will effectively be driving uninsured. That might be a problem when you have an accident.

After all of that, it would be cheaper, safer and less fraudulent to buy a VTR and insure it as standard.

yeh can be very expensive too go that way m8, vtr's are cheap as chips too insure anyways so better too just too sell ya car and buy vtr, would cost less too insure that a modded motor and be one hell of alot safer and cheaper. If you want it look more basic just strip the kit off once got 1 simples

as said above unless you have the tools and knowhow to do it yourself it aint worth it you will spend at least 350 buyin vtr engine loom box ecu etc and gettin it fitted then you still realistic need new brakes suspension zorst you can buy a vtr for fuck all and as for insurance i know they dont check the car in minor accidents but if you accidentally run into someone and someone dies they will inspect the car and what normally would be written off as a bad accident suddenly finds you serving 10 yrs is it really worth it mate
