ohh really, did u get the braided pipes or not and what set up have u got engine wise did u get the 13row cooler
  13. #13
I bought the 13 row system, paid extra for the thermostat in the snadwich plate and extra again for the stainless steel braided hoses. I guess it depends where you mount the cooler. If you were to fit it by the front passanger wheel behind the fog light these pipes would be perfect.

Also i keep being told that 16 row isnt necessary unless it will see alot of track action.

They are actually for sale if your interested...PM me.

What max rpm do you use?

Std rev limit - 13 row
    8k - 16 row
    9k - 19 row

    Fit a stat regardless.

most mount them in the gap between the bumper and the rad.
  17. #17
yeah was gunna mount it in the spare fan housing if it fits if not just infront
  18. #18
my mates got a 13 row mocal oil cooler mounted just infront of the rad in the middle
  19. #19
mounting mine right behind passenger foglight, as i have no fog lights in the bumper
  20. #20
Ive got a 13 row with thermostat (you will need a stat otherwise it wont warm up normally) currenly on a similar motor to your (186hp) it does fine so far but not been on track yet

    Mounted it like this

need help on the oil cooler matter,

basically i need to know what way to connect this up, is it from

engine - to oil filter - from oil filter to oil cooler, then oil cooler back to engine,

or can i go, engine - to oil cooler - then to oil filter - then back to engine.

i have an oil filter relocation kit which is why i want to go from engine to oil filter then to oil cooler then back to engine.

or is this not a good idea??

the cooler mounts on the front of the engine block. The filter threads ontop of that. You dont re route anything from the engine

the oil coolers mounted at the front of my car, not on the engine block...

you then connect that up via braided hoses and other fittings etc.

i just need to know what way to route the oil.

You have a plate which mounts to the block. You screw both hoses onto the plate and then onto the cooler itself.

i agree, but i also have an oil filter relocation kit with it. which moves my oil filter to behind drivers side head light.

stops your oil going piss thin causing damage to engine. mostly applies to track day driving.

Same as i used too with 3 lines id guess

Its a shite kit on am n/a car sell it and get one with a thermostat i used to have to cover the cooler (ghetto cover made from ali) to stop it cooling to get the motor up to temp as you cant thermostat it properly so it just cools constantly

If your runnong boost the oil filter can be in the way of a big turbo hence this kits development but unless your big turbo boost its pointless

Oh and it goes sandwich plate through cooler to filter to sandwichplate is how i had mine
dont suppose it matters hugely but this way if you get shit in the cooler when changing oil as you should drain cooler and lines too imo the filter will pick it up sooner
