Engine looms, i used the search button!!

Im trying to get a wiring loom for a W reg vts engine that came from a car with a single plug ecu and large loom plug behind headlight. Now, i have read that i can use any mk2 VTS loom, even a 3-plug ECU one, and change the front temp sensor, oil sensor (just block the hole for the rear oil sensor), injector loom and alternator.

Can anyone verify this before i buy one? cheers.

a 3 plug one wont fit
as your ecu will have single plug and your wiring loom will be three plug?

Ive got a v reg wiring loom single plug if your after one(full)

Well i dont have an ecu so i would get a 3 plug ecu too... Does it have a large loom plug behind the passenger headlight? My gf's V reg VTR had a smaller plug and my W VTR had a larger plug.

    ahhhh
3 plug ecu on a single plug engine(and single plug car)?

you would have to change interior wiring too which becomes a bitch of a job.

Unless you have a wiring diagram which you can cut & chop to

No he woulldnt he has a changeover car so the interior loom is the later 3 plug one

These cars are a pain but a 3 plug setup should sort you out but sensor wise it can be anything as citroen just used up anything when it came to plugs

the later big plug has 2 dif types of pin layout, so a 3 plug wont solve the problem, unless its a VERY early 3 plug, youd need to see both plugs and make sure they match
