turbo actuator

   i have a t25 turbo what will happen if i take the actuator off and weld the plate up

   ok so if i get a wastegate on the exhaust for the psi i want to run it will then be ok

   yes - kinda. But why not just run the setup the way it was intended? Using the standard actuator and integral wastegate?

   because it dont have it and has been welded up

   well either get an exteranl wastegate or find another turbo, you could probs get a second hand decent t25 for less then an external gate, then you dont have to fuck on modding a mani to fit it, as i assume your not running a gated manifold?

   as above. cheapest option is another turbo (£150). Gated manifold + external wastegate will be about £400 minimum.

   plus if your turbo wastegate is welded shut id assume its been run on high boost, if its not modded to cope with that then it probably wont last very long anyway

    i made the mani my self so i will just get a wasegate and get that welded on its only £50 for a wasegate off ebay
