hi, got a vtr it has 4-2-1 manifold to straight through pipe to back box and a decent air filter now im just wondering where to go next for performance, want something that will make a noticable difference?

What air filter have you got? Probably be better off putting it back to standard airbox system.

gearbox is a good shout if you dont wanna go down the 16v route

its been stripped,, doesnt even have pas anymore lol,, will cams change it that much?

yer cams will get you between 10 and 15 if u have it mapped aswell. i wud change the gear box 1st tbh.

i also have a vtr, was just wondering when people are saying change the gear box what one would ypu recomend 1.1? vts? etc?

get the gearbox to fuck vtr gearbox's are awful imo try find a s2 rallye box or even a vts box

save up, buy a 1.4 xsi box, get it cammed, and maybe even TB's IF you can get them cheap. as some TB setups cost just as much as a lowish boost turbo setup which would be the best bang for buck on a vtr motor.
