Important! : saxo keeps on stalling HELP!

    My saxo keeps on stalling randomly normally when im in 1st gear and parking , and whenever i turn the car back on it will just stall again again...

    Yesturday the car had a fit kept stalling over and over again cant be the battery confused.. And weirdly today morning the car was ok started up fine like nothing happened, serously wtf is going on ?????????

    My mate said it met be the coil pack ?? and my girlfriend said maybe the fuel injector ?

    I changed the engine oil and spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body recently

    COULD BE SO MANY REASONSSSSSSSSSS

    may be different to your's but i had a problem similar with my vtr it wud turn over and start up then cut right back out unless u held ur foot on the gas and even then it would just cut when u change gear, found it was the idle control valve had to swap it for a new 1 coz the old one would'nt even work when cleaned

    how much is a new control valve ?? where can i buy one ... bensaxoforte cheers doh

    yeah kind of similar issues just cuts out and when i switch the engine on keeps doing the same thing.. and yes the gasing tend to stop it frm stalling very weird...

    Most common thing to cause stalling on Saxo's is the Idle control valve

    It basically controls the idle of the car but gets gunked up and sticks causing the throttle to open and close intermittently which manifests itself with either random revving or cutting out.

    There is a guide on here somewhere which explains how to remove the valve and clean the gunk off, a quick search should find it.

    If you are removing the ICV, you may as well remove the whole throttle body (the thing the ICV is screwed into), remove all the parts connected to it and clean them all with WD40

    Could be something else but this is the easiest thing to try and the most common
